چکیده
Abstract. Sweet sorghum in several large agricultural regions of the Russian Federation with unstable or insufficient moisture is becoming a real alternative to traditional feed grain crops. It has high adaptability and provides stable green mass yield for silage. The purpose current work was estimate characterize promising sweet varieties developed by ARC “Donskoy”. Methodology: study carried out FSBSI “Agricultural Research Center “Donskoy” from 2020 2022. soil experimental plot ordinary calcareous heavy loamy blackearth (chernozem). objects research were 17 new being studied nursery competitive variety testing. Scientific originality lies morphological, biochemical, productive indicators varieties; identifying among them most adaptive ones conditions (or unstable) North Caucasus. Results. During there found that when selecting according economically valuable traits, it should be taken into account growing have no effect only on vegetation period number leaves are practically, other traits can change significantly. According productivity, samples ‘M’ (V = 2.7 %), ‘ZR-1/44’ 7.3 ‘KL-12198/2’ 8.2 ‘RS-124/ 19’ 9.3 ‘Sakharnoe 105/3’ 10.2 %). analysis quality productivity identified ‘Yuzhnoe’, ‘Amazanit 301’ ‘Feniks’. exceeded standard one 4–13 t/ha mass, 2.9-–4.3 dry matter, 0.24–0.36 digestible protein. ‘Feniks’ approved use Caucasus, Central Blackearth Low-Volga Federation, recommended widespread introduction production.
